Coming in the July/August Issue of Chattanooga Magazine!
The New Sterling Southeast Annual Supplement
Destinations
By Deborah Petticord, editor
Winter 2006/2007 - This issue of Sterling Southeast is dedicated to destinations in the Southeast that you may not have discovered yet. From the waterfront beauty of Rosemary Beach along Florida's gulf coast to the mountains of Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina--each destination has a strong sense of place. Although Rosemary Beach is a new creation of architectural genius, the mountain inns each represent a long established history in their respective communities. Georgia writer Linda Erbele introduces us to a new museum in her state. In the article, "Celebrating Folk Pottery," she discusses our Southern folk pottery heritage and describes the exhibition in a new museum built to showcase the ancient craft.
The chill of winter shouldn't keep you from rambling around our beautiful region. Asheville, North Carolina draws diverse crowds year round, all visiting for a variety of reasons. Just north of Chattanooga, Monteagle, Tennessee is rich in natural beauty and has been a quiet retreat for decades. And, each of these locations has a beautiful bed & breakfast inn--both uncommonly comfortable, with outstanding hosts.
For the next installment of Sterling Southeast you will have to pick up a copy of Chattanooga magazine. The July/August issue of CM will begin carrying Sterling as a supplement in 2007. We will continue to carry articles of interest to baby boomers in our area. The topics of healthcare, travel, home innovation, real estate and financial planning will continue to be featured. Local experts in these fields will offer insights, as usual, that we have come to value in the seven years we have published the magazine. We are glad to be able to continue to bring it to our readers, even if in another format.
Happy reading in the New Year!
